Relationships between wheat yield, yield components and physico-chemical properties of soil under rain-fed conditions
Authors
Abstract:
This research was conducted to study and classify the physico-chemicalproperties of soil, yield components of wheat and to determine the significance ofthese parameters on the grain yield formation. In this research, seven statisticalmethods consisting of simple correlation analysis (SCA), multiple linear regression(MLR), stepwise regression (SR), factor analysis (FA), principal componentanalysis (PCA), cluster analysis (CA) and path analysis (PA) have beeninvestigated. The physico-chemical properties of soil, different morphological traitsand wheat yield have been obtained from a field with 250×300 meter dimensionlocated in Bajgah (with silty clay loam soil) that consisted of 30 samples. Amongstatistical analysis performed, MLR has provided more acceptable results. In thismethod, among the examined characteristics, five traits i.e., the number of stemswithout spikes per plant, biological yield, harvest index, soil soluble potassium andsoil available phosphorus, examined 98.3% of the variations of the yield (P

Study of Relationships between Root Traits and Yield and Yield Components of Bread Wheat under Rainfed Conditions
Breeding new crop cultivars with efficient root systems carries great potential to enhance resource use efficiency, plant adaptation to unstable climates and improve yields. Current study was conducted to investigate the relationship between root characteristics with yield and yield components in 24 lines and cultivar of bread wheat using complete randomized block design with three replications...

Effect of Organic and Chemical Nitrogen Fertilizers on Grain Yield and Yield Components of Wheat and Soil Fertility
Effects of organic manure (poultry manure) applied alone and integrated with inorganic fertilizer (urea) on yield and yield component, N-uptake and soil fertility in wheat-maize cropping system was evaluated in a field experiment at Nuclear Institute for Food and Agriculture, Peshawar, Pakistan. Poultry manure was applied alone and were integrated in different proportions with mineral nitrogeno...

This research was carried out to study the grain yield, yield components and NDVI (normalized difference vegetation index) responses of four wheat cultivars to growth retardant cycocel under terminal drought stress conditions. The experiment was laid out as a split split plot with three replicates at the experimental farm of the School of Agriculture, Shiraz University, Shiraz, Iran in 2016-201...
full textChemical Composition, Yield and Yield Components of Two Wheat Cultivars in Response to Salt Stress
Abstract In most southern provinces of Iran, soil salinity is a growing problem, particularly in irrigated agricultural areas, and has been found to reduce wheat yield, dramatically. To investigate the effect of sodium chloride on two wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) cultivars, four levels of salinity: 0, 4, 8 and 12 dS/m, were employed as a factorial experiment arranged in a randomized complet...
